Thompson Legal is the inspiration of Richard Thompson.

Richard’s roots in the legal profession are deep with his grandfather Fraser Thompson establishing one of the first legal practices in Mooloolaba back in the 1970s.

It’s now Richard’s turn to create his own lasting legacy in the legal profession.

After completing his Law and Accounting degrees from QUT, Richard spent a number of years working as a solicitor, including a successful stint with renowned Queensland legal identities Peter Boyce and Alan Clark at Butler McDermott where he practiced in all areas of commercial law as well as succession and elder law.

Over the past five years Richard chose to focus on his career as a professional ultra triathlete which took him across the globe winning two world titles and breaking a world record for the three day event.

His desire to return to law was inevitable. But he had to do it his way. His personal values are integrity, teamwork and helping others and he has created Thompson Legal as the vehicle to achieve these values all at the same time.
